Complex Male Support Worker – Sunshine Coast & Moreton Bay
Due to specific client needs, we are seeking compassionate, resilient, and experienced
Male Support Workers
to support participants across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions, including Landsborough, Caloundra, and Nambour.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic role suited to confident support workers who can think on their feet, remain calm under pressure, and respond safely to complex behaviours. While the role can be challenging, it is also highly rewarding. You will play an significant role in supporting participants to build independence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully within their communities.
Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided to ensure you feel confident and equipped to manage complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
Support participants with mental health challenges, autism, intellectual impairments, trauma-related behaviours, self-harm tendencies, tenancy-related concerns, and other complex support needs.
Provide support to individuals who may display high-intensity verbal and physical aggression.
Follow Personal Support Behaviour Plans (PSBP) and company policies to ensure safe and consistent support.
Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies to reduce behaviours of concern and improve participant outcomes.
Respond calmly and effectively in challenging situations while maintaining participant and staff safety.
Encourage independence, skill development, and community participation.
Complete accurate documentation, incident reporting, and progress notes.
Shift Availability
6:00am – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 10:00pm
2:00pm – 6:00am Sleepover ($140 sleepover allowance)
10:00pm – 6:00am Active/Awake

Essential Requirements
Current Blue Card
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Completion of the NDIS Quality, Safety and You module
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and responsive in high-pressure situations
Current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Desirable
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
