The Opportunity:
Based at our Kewdale site, you will be able to see the full lifecycle of your designs be brought into operation from concept to completion.
You will provide practical and impactful solutions to our teams, ensuring they have the clarity required to produce high-quality work.
In this role, you will be responsible for the
design, delivery, and technical support of electrical systems
across a range of projects, from concept through to commissioning.
This role will see you working in our team of electrical and structural engineers, liaising with our projects, structural fabrication, electrical manufacturing, and fit-out teams
The role will suit someone who can work in a fast-paced, multi-project team that likes to solve engineering challenges and can ensure compliance with industry standards through analysis, testing, and innovation.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create and develop technical drawings, plans, and schematics for various electrical installations and circuit systems.
Collaborate with team members in planning and arranging electrical layouts for related components.
Conduct testing by gathering data, and perform calculations, and do analysis.
Estimate material requirements, project budgeting and resource planning.
Examine designs and products to verify adherence to specifications, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Install, test, modify, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Handle electrical workshop tasks,
including setting up protective relay assemblies, metering devices, and indicators.
Support research and experimental initiatives to drive improvements and advancements in electrical engineering solutions.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma is preferred. Or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience is required.
Relevant Skills
Skilled in software for accurate electrical schematics.
Understanding of electrical installations and safety standards.
Proficient in data analysis, cost estimation, and complex calculations.
Precise in design, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Experience with equipment installation, testing, and repair.
Ability to estimate material costs and quantities.
Effective communicator and team player.
Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
