We deliver electrical and air conditioning services across Perth, and we are looking for an Operations Manager to run the engine room.
About the role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of our electrical and air conditioning work. You lead the Service Coordinators, Leading Hands, Technicians and Apprentices, and act as the central link between the office and the field. You will shape how work flows through the business, ensure day-to-day excellence, and build the systems and rhythms that let a high-performing team deliver with confidence.
This is a senior leadership position with real accountability: every job completed on time, to standard, and profitably, with no surprises for the customer or the business.

What you'll be doing
Owning day-to-day operations across our electrical and air conditioning divisions from start to finish
Leading, supporting and holding accountable a team of coordinators, leading hands, technicians and apprentices
Overseeing daily and weekly scheduling so technician capacity is fully and efficiently utilised across Perth
Taking ownership of operational revenue, margin and job profitability against monthly targets, reviewing utilisation and margin weekly
Ensuring all work complies with AS/NZS ****, Western Power standards, WHS obligations and our quality systems
Owning the resolution of escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally
Continually improving our processes and getting the most out of our systems (Simpro, HubSpot, Asana)
Strengthening culture by embedding the Response values into every decision, from recruitment to recognition
What you'll need
Proven experience managing operations in a trades, field-service or contracting business
Demonstrated success leading and developing field and office teams
Strong commercial and financial acumen, confident managing revenue, margin and productivity
Sound understanding of scheduling, job management and resource planning
Working knowledge of WHS obligations and a genuine commitment to safety
Comfort with systems, data and reporting (Simpro or similar), you see insights, not just numbers
Hands-on leadership that balances accountability with empathy
A current WA driver's licence
Candidates must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
Highly desired
A background or trade qualification in electrical, air conditioning or a related field
Knowledge of Western Power compliance and AS/NZS **** requirements
Experience in a residential and light commercial service business
Formal leadership, operations or business management qualifications
Electrical Contractors Nominee Licence
