Receptionist in General Practice

We're looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our friendly team and help us continue delivering outstanding care across our two Sunshine Coast clinics, with your main base being at our Sippy Downs location.

About the Role
Working closely with our team, you'll help ensure our clinics run smoothly while providing exceptional service to every patient who walks through the door.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients with warmth, professionalism and empathy
Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
Managing appointment bookings and recalls
Processing Medicare claims, private billing and payments
Assisting patients with questions and resolving concerns professionally
Supporting doctors, nurses and allied health providers with administrative tasks
Maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality
Helping create an organised, efficient and welcoming reception environment
Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure each day runs smoothly
About You




We're looking for someone who:
Has worked in a General Practice clinic within the last three years (preferred)
Has experience using Best Practice software (preferred)
Has a sound understanding of Medicare and private billing
Enjoys helping people and providing exceptional customer service
Communicates warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone
Remains calm and organised in a busy setting
Is proactive, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team
Is willing to pitch in wherever needed to support colleagues and patients
Takes pride in doing the little things well
Most importantly, you'll be someone who genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome and cared for.
