About the role
Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to join a leading welding and industrial supplies company? We are seeking a talented full-time
Sales Assistant Industrial / Trade
to join our team in our
Launceston
Store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to a diverse range of industrial and trade customers.
This hands-on role includes order entry, stock management, customer service, problem-solving and some heavy lifting. You'll need to be accurate, show good initiative and be comfortable handling sales both in person and over the phone. Strong computer skills are essential and experience with SAP is a bonus.
What you'll be doing
In this role you will deliver technical support and solutions with outstanding customer experience
Provide resolution of customer complaints effectively and in a timely manner is part of the is function
You are in charge of phone and counter sales, processing customer orders, responding to requests for information and pricing
Your role includes promotion and up-selling of recent products
Development and up-keep of in-store displays, and promotional material




Identify and communicate local growth opportunities and maintain efficient warehouse processes
You will be responsible for the stock management and the dispatching and receiving of goods
You will also contribute to the overall branch performance
Additionally you are in charge to accurate and timely process orders in SAP
Comply with SPW Safety policies and procedures is required
What we're looking for
You have experience in a retail sales environment is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
Moreover you have a strong focus on customer service
SAP skills are desirable but not required
Welding, Fabrication or similar trade knowledge would be highly regarded
Must be able to lift weight of around 25Kgs
