Role Description This part-time Dentist role (Specialist qualification would be beneficial, but not required) at Sunshine Coast Paediatric Dentistry is an on-site position based in Sunshine Coast, QLD. The dentist will provide comprehensive paediatric dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, preventive treatments, restorations, and management of dental emergencies. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing treatment plans, communicating clearly with children and caregivers, maintaining accurate clinical records, and collaborating with the wider dental team to deliver safe, high-quality care. The role also involves promoting oral health education, adhering to infection control standards, and contributing to a welcoming, child-focused practice setting.Qualifications Current registration (or eligibility for registration)



with the relevant dental regulatory authority in Australia.Demonstrated experience or strong interest in paediatric dentistry and working with children and families.Strong clinical skills in examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of routine paediatric dental procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain treatment options clearly and build trust with children and caregivers.Commitment to evidence-based practice, infection prevention and control, and patient safety.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to accurate documentation and follow-up care.Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent recognized dental qualification.Additional training or certification in paediatric dentistry is highly regarded.
