Located In Parramatta, with hybrid working supported
Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $102,936 to $113,579 pa plus super
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to policies and programs that support the transition to a low-carbon economy, improve environmental outcomes and help deliver the Government's strategic priorities.
As a policy expert, you will support the coordination, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of a range of strategic, operational and governance policies and projects across the energy portfolio.
Working within a collaborative team, you will assist with policy development, secretariat support, stakeholder engagement, governance activities and business support functions.
You will play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with government priorities and legislative requirements.

About You
As an Assistant Policy Officer, you will support the delivery of the NSW Government's energy, climate change and emissions reduction programs. Working across a range of policy, project and governance activities, you will assist with project planning, research, stakeholder engagement, reporting and program coordination to help achieve positive outcomes for NSW energy consumers.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support informed decision-making,



ensure compliance with government priorities and legislative requirements, and contribute to the successful delivery of initiatives that support a more sustainable future for NSW.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated understanding of project management principles as well as time management and organisation skills.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience.
Experience working in energy policy is preferred but not required.
