About the Opportunity
Our Client is seeking an experienced Supervisor or Manager - Business Services & Tax to join their growing team.
Reporting to a Director, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering strategic business advice, and leading a team of accountants. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated skilled looking to further develop their leadership capability while working closely with clients to deliver high-quality accounting, taxation, and advisory solutions.
Based in modern Newcastle CBD offices, you will be part of a collaborative and high-performing team that values innovation, excellence, and client success.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to a Director, you will:
Manage a portfolio of business clients across a variety of industries
Provide accounting, taxation, and business advisory services
Review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants
Provide technical guidance and support to team members
Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships
Assist Directors with client advisory matters and business development initiatives
Drive quality outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
About You




You are an experienced public practice accountant who enjoys partnering with clients, solving complex business challenges, and developing high-performing teams.
With strong technical expertise and leadership capability, you are confident managing client relationships and delivering exceptional outcomes.
Qualifications
CA or CPA qualified (essential)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience within Business Services & Tax
Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
Experience managing client relationships and advising business owners
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or team management experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proactive approach with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
