We are a Manufacturing, Wear Protection & Lining Systems business seeking an experienced and motivated
Mechanical Engineer
to join our team on a
short-term contract
supporting both our workshop and local site shutdown projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who has experience delivering practical engineering solutions within heavy industry.
About the Role
Working closely with our production and project teams, you will provide engineering support for the manufacture and installation of wear plates and lining systems used in the mining, bulk material handling and industrial sectors.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Providing mechanical engineering support to workshop manufacturing operations
· Assisting with planning and execution of shutdown projects
· Reviewing drawings, specifications, and fabrication requirements
· Assist with site installation and supervision
· Supporting quality assurance and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards
· Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and site installation methods
· Liaising with trades personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time,



and to a high standard
· Assisting with technical problem-solving and project documentation
About You
To be successful, you will have:
· Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
· Previous experience within manufacturing, mining, or heavy industrial environments
· Knowledge of wear plate systems, rubber lining, ceramic lining, polyurethane (highly regarded)
· Experience supporting shutdowns and site-based projects
· Solid communication and organisational skills
· Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
· Current Australian driver's licence
· Construction White Card
· Confined Space Entry and Gas Test Atmospheres
· Working at Heights
· Full Australian working rights.
