About the Role
The Biomedical Electronics Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, testing, and technical support of a wide range of medical electronic and computer-networked equipment. Working within a healthcare environment, you will play a key role in ensuring medical devices operate safely, effectively, and reliably to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repairs, calibration, quality assurance, and performance testing on specialised medical equipment.
Troubleshoot faults across biomedical and network-connected medical devices.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, upgrades, and testing using the Asset Management System.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and ISO **** quality processes.
Provide technical advice and training to clinical and hospital staff on the operation and safe use of medical equipment.
Support internal and external quality audits and maintain quality management documentation.
Participate in an after-hours emergency maintenance roster as required.
Assist in managing departmental stores and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and relevant healthcare standards.
Essential Requirements
Advanced Certificate in Electronics or equivalent qualification.




Extensive experience repairing and maintaining contemporary electro-medical equipment.
Strong computer literacy, including software installation, network setup, and fault finding.
Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload.
Sound understanding of continuous improvement principles and quality management systems.
Experience working with medical equipment asset management systems.
Knowledge of ISO **** quality standards and auditing practices.
