About the role
This is a great opportunity to play a hands-on role in connecting Engineers Australia with our members, industry partners, schools and the broader community.
Working closely with the Division General Manager, you'll help bring local engagement initiatives to life by coordinating events, supporting stakeholder activity, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow up.
If you enjoy variety, strong organisation, meaningful stakeholder interaction and being part of work that supports the future of the engineering profession, this role offers the chance to make a visible contribution in a purpose-driven environment.
This is a hybrid role, with office attendance and working-from-home arrangements guided by the activities of the Division.
The role requires flexibility to support morning and evening activations, events and stakeholder meetings, with some out-of-hours activity typically occurring after 4:30pm and, at times, up to three to four evenings per week.
Location
Melbourne, VIC
In this role you will:
Connect with members, industry partners, schools and the broader community to strengthen Engineers Australia's local presence.
Coordinate engaging events, STEM activities, school career fairs, meetings and stakeholder initiatives from planning through to delivery.
Partner closely with the Division General Manager to bring local engagement priorities and business plan initiatives to life.
Support meaningful stakeholder relationships across industry, education, government, community and professional networks.
Deliver high-quality administration, communications, logistics and follow-up to create a seamless experience for members and stakeholders.

Contribute to purpose-driven work that supports the engineering profession and helps shape the future of Australia's engineering community.
Here's what we're looking for:
You are highly organised, administratively strong and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment where accuracy, responsiveness and follow through matter.
You are comfortable coordinating meetings, events, STEM activities and school career fairs end to end, including administration, logistics, registrations, supplier liaison, stakeholder communications and on-the-day support.
You can work successfully across teams, without direct reporting line authority.
You demonstrate initiative and accountability; you are efficient, able to organise and prioritise work, garner resources and deliver required outputs whilst tackling multiple tasks.
You are a committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational and time management capability and the flexibility to support events and stakeholder activities before and after standard business hours when required.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable speaking in front of small groups, with a willingness to further develop presentation and facilitation skills.
You bring with you, or are excited to develop, a working knowledge of (non-technical) engineering matters.
Ideally you have practical experience in administration, event coordination and delivering high-quality member, customer or stakeholder experiences, with exposure to one or more of: member or customer service/engagement, policy, advocacy, media, STEM, industry engagement or corporate events.
