We're seeking an experienced and hands-on
Feedlot Manager
to lead the day-to-day operations of our feedlot. You'll oversee all aspects of cattle husbandry, feed management, staff supervision, and compliance, ensuring the facility runs safely, efficiently, and profitably.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the business owners, you will oversee the daily running of the feedlot and surrounding operations while ensuring cattle welfare, team performance, workplace safety and operational efficiency remain a priority.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be just as comfortable working alongside the team as you are planning workloads, solving problems and driving continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities
• Lead, support and develop the feedlot team
• Coordinate daily operations and allocate workloads.
• Ensure cattle are cared for in accordance with industry best practice.
• Oversee feeding programs and general livestock management.
• Maintain presentation and upkeep of the feedlot and surrounding infrastructure.
• Liaise with contractors.
• Promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with all relevant BSN Trading's policies and procedures.




• Work closely with the owners to identify opportunities for improvement and future growth.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to operational planning.
About You:
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in feedlot management or a senior supervisory role within a commercial feedlot
- Strong knowledge of cattle nutrition, animal health, and welfare standards
- Sound understanding of NFAS accreditation and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Robust budgeting, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Current driver's licence (heavy vehicle/machinery tickets highly regarded)
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to the Roma region
