Join Our Team at Siena OSHC, Sippy Downs! We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced casual Educator to join our friendly team at Siena Outside School Hours Care in Sippy Downs. We're seeking someone who holds a qualification in Children's Services — or is actively working towards one — and ideally brings some hands‐on experience in a childcare or OSHC setting. Located next to the University of the Sunshine Coast on the grounds of Siena Catholic College, we provide before and after school care, plus vacation care for up to 60 children. At Siena OSHC, we value every child as capable and unique. Our educators support this by creating meaningful, play‐based experiences built around each child's individual interests and needs — and we love welcoming input from children and families to help us continually grow and improve.
A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator...
Provide warm, nurturing care for children across before school, after school, and vacation care
Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all
Design fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences tailored to children's interests
Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
Join exciting excursions and special events during vacation care
Feel proud to come to work knowing you're making a real difference in children's lives every day
Job Requirements
Hold (or are actively working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent — essential for this role
Some previous experience in a childcare or OSHC setting is preferred
Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current or up‐to‐date Child Protection training (preferred)
A passion for the education and care of school‐aged children in a play‐based environment
Effective workplace communication skills
