About the Role
Halliburton is expanding its business to support the rapid growth of hyperscale data centers, AI infrastructure, and large-scale industrial power projects.
In this role you will lead environmental strategy, regulatory approvals, and permitting across large-scale power generation projects (100 MW to multi-GW) throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
The successful candidate will help
shape project viability early in the development lifecycle
by identifying environmental constraints, de-risking approvals, and ensuring projects can meet regulatory, community, and business expectations.
This position reports globally to the
Senior Director
of our new
Power Generation
division and will be based
at
Jandakot, Western Australia
. It is expected that this role will require local and international travel for at least 30% of your time.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead environmental permitting strategy
· Manage regulatory engagement
· Lead emissions & environmental compliance
· Manage noise & community impact
· Support project development & engineering
· Support APAC regional development
· Support risk management & stakeholder expectations
Role Requirements
· 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance for energy or infrastructure projects
· Strong expertise in air emissions and noise compliance for large-scale facilities
· Demonstrated experience working with regulators and managing compliance processes
· Experience navigating complex environmental frameworks in Australia and/or APAC
· Ability to operate at both technical and strategic levels
· Background supporting project development or early-stage project feasibility
· Experience with large-scale power projects (100 MW or greater)
· Familiarity with international standards
