About This Role
About Us
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system in Victoria focusing on prevention, diversion, and early intervention as the most effective and fiscally responsible ways of reducing youth crime
Youth justice custodial centres accommodate young people aged ***** years who have been remanded or sentenced by the Criminal Division of the Children's Court, and some *****-year-olds sentenced by Adult Courts to a youth justice custodial centre.
Children and young people involved in Youth Justice are either supervised in the community, by community youth justice workers located at Justice Service Centres across seven regions in Victoria or within custodial services focused on genuine therapeutic environment which is driven by relationships based on an integrated model of care and reformed approach to programs and services.
What You Will Do
As stores supervisor, you will manage the stores operations at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct.
You will help your team deliver reliable services while keeping stock, records and systems running well.
You Will
manage ordering, receiving and issuing stationery, clothing and other stores supplies
lead a team, support staff and build a positive and inclusive workplace
maintain accurate stock levels,



complete stocktakes and keep complete records
research suppliers, monitor contracts and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions
solve operational problems, prepare reports and improve store processes.
About You
You must hold a current Employee Working with Children Check and a current driver licence before you start. You must keep your Working with Children Check current throughout your employment.
You Should Also Have
strong experience using financial and stock management systems
proven skills using software for stock control and purchasing
sound problem-solving skills and the ability to improve work processes
transparent communication skills with the ability to lead a team and build positive working relationships.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include national police checks and misconduct screening.
