We are a commercial wholesale nursery in Eubenangee Far North Qld, 15 minutes North of Innisfail. We are looking for a responsible and motivated casual nursery hand, with an option to upgrade to a permanent salaried position. Whilst prior nursery experience is not essential, it is an ideal opportunity for a suitably motivated person, to enter this industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing plants for dispatch
Pruning, fertilizing and weeding plants
Assist with irrigation
Manual extraction of stock from in-ground reserves
Potting up of plants
Help maintain a
clean, safe and organised workplace
in line with WHS standards
Hours:
To start with, we are offering a casual role, 5 days a week - 7am - 3:30pm
Key Attributes:




Be fit and healthy (this is a physically demanding role and so the applicant must be fit and healthy)
Own vehicle and valid Australian drivers licence essential
Willing to work as part of an all-weathers, outdoor Team environment
Follows directions easily
Valuable verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with initiative to take action
Eye for detail with plant maintenance and presentation
Ability to drive a tractor will be an advantage
Spray Ticket an advantage
Applicants MUST have Australian Residency.
