About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Switchboard Design Manager to lead and manage the switchboard design function to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective switchboard designs aligned with project requirements, company standards and strategic objectives.DutiesLead, mentor and develop the Switchboard Design team to achieve high performance and business objectives.Manage design resources, workload planning and team capability to meet project delivery requirements.Oversee the end-to-end delivery of switchboard design projects, ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets are achieved.Review and approve complex design documentation, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, client specifications and safety requirements.Establish and maintain design standards, governance processes and quality assurance practices.Collaborate with Project Managers, Production and Procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution and manufacturability.Manage stakeholder and client relationships, providing technical leadership and resolving design-related issues.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including design standardization, automation and digital engineering tools such as ePLAN.Monitor project performance, resource utilization and operational metrics, providing regular reporting and recommendations.Contribute to business planning, strategic engineering initiatives, compliance,



risk management and continuous improvement programs.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 8-10 years' experience in In-depth knowledge of LV Switchboards Okken, Moducell and custom build switchboards.Minimum 3–5 years' leadership experience managing engineering or design teams.Experience managing multiple projects, resources, budgets and project schedules.Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.About usAt Mayfield, we are proudly Australian owned & operated since **** and pride ourselves on adding value through innovation and collaboration.
