What are we looking for?
Reporting to the Head of Production and Production Coordinator, we're looking for a fast-paced and detail-oriented Production Assistant to assist and maintain all the areas of production. This includes all stages of development, production, trim development and photo sample management coordinator, as well as assistance in negotiating FOB's, ship dates and raising PO's.
Your Key Functions Will Include:
Assist and send new development request, across fabric and styles
Generate fully graded size specifications using Australian standards. Across men's and children's wear.
Measure and check proto, PP samples and shipment samples against Production Notes or against original reference or inspirational samples. Record accurate and detailed analysis.
Prepare garments for management to inspect. Include production notes, detailed list of check points, associated lab dips, fabric approvals or previous related samples.
Generate technical diagrams and/or taking photographs, scanned images to communicate any required changes.
Note taking during fitting sessions and transposing notes to specification sheets/QA reports
Create comments regarding sample fitting, measurement, making and construction to suppliers
Check labels on samples are accurate and in correct position and that they comply with Australian standards and regulations.




Regular communication with international and local suppliers on Quality Control and standards
Constantly seek new methods to improve efficiency of processes and quality garment.
Follow up on any comments sent through to suppliers and ensure all suppliers are responded to within one working day where possible.
Constantly seek to improve communication and relationships with suppliers through emails, call and videos calls.
Work cohesively with the leadership team to ensure direct and transparent communication on all areas that are under the remit of Senior Production assistant.
What You'll Bring:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Previous experience working with AP21 desirable but not required
Experience and knowledge on pattern making, technical fit, specification creation and grading
Good understanding of textiles
Knowledge of garment construction, grading methods and manufacturing procedures and experience in suppliers' relations.
High level of attention to detail
High level of written and verbal communication
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Proficient with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign programs
Strong problem-solving skills
Focused & Driven to succeed
Exercise good judgment and takes initiative
