Your opportunity
Every contract tells a story, of partnerships, accountability, governance and the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes. As a Business Analyst - Project, you will play a key role in helping Mission Australia strengthen the way contracts are managed across the organisation. Working within the EMPO and alongside business, technology, legal, procurement, finance and governance stakeholders, you will translate complex business needs into transparent, actionable requirements that support the implementation of a contract lifecycle management solution. Your work will help improve contract visibility, governance, reporting and decision‐making, enabling Mission Australia to continue building hope and opportunity for people across Australia.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Lead the analysis of current and future contract lifecycle management processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Gather, document and prioritise business, functional and non‐functional requirements.
Develop user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria and traceability documentation.
Support vendor evaluations, solution assessments and gap analysis activities.
Analyse data structures, migration requirements and reporting needs to support implementation.
Analyse pricing, obligations, liabilities and contractual risks.
Escalate incomplete, inconsistent or high‐risk contract information.
Support contract data migration, validation, reconciliation and sign‐off.
Assess integration impacts across enterprise systems including Microsoft 365 and reporting platforms.
Develop and execute testing artefacts, including test scenarios, scripts and defect analysis.




Support change adoption through user guidance, training materials and transition‐to‐business‐as‐usual activities.
Requirements for success
Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Data, Commerce, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience as a Business Analyst or Digital Analyst supporting enterprise technology or transformation projects.
Strong capability in requirements elicitation, business process mapping and documentation.
Demonstrated experience developing user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria and traceability artefacts.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience supporting testing, defect management, migration activities and solution readiness assessments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex problems into practical solutions.
Knowledge of reporting, commercial contract data interpretation, workflow automation, data analysis and systems integration concepts.
Familiarity with contract management, governance, compliance, procurement, risk or legal technology projects will be highly regarded.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
