WOODCUT Restaurant is seeking a confident and experienced Events and Host Managerto lead our front desk team. Asour Events and Host Manager,you will be the face of Woodcut, managing a dynamic team, overseeing bookings and private events, and working closely with our senior chefs and management team. You will thrive in a high-volume, high-standard environment where your organisational skills, warm personality, and leadership will shine.
What We're Looking For
A welcoming personality with an engaging smile.
Roster will include evening and weekend work. The Host and Events Manager is expected to be present at the front desk during the busiest services of the week.
The ability to stay calm, confident, and solutions-focusedunder pressure.
Previous experience running the door of a high-volume, luxury restaurant.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and inspirejunior team members.
Exceptional presentation standards and a meticulous eye for detail.
A self motivated manager, keen to bring new business to the venue and drive revenue.
Adaptability to cater to diverse guest preferences across multiple dining experiences.
Excellent communication and administrative skills.
Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude.




Previous experience with luxury hotel clientele is highly regarded.

The dining room at Woodcut is anchored by four open kitchens, each centred on their own cooking method and three with their own Kitchen Counter seats where guests have a front row seat to "the show". Woodcut can seat up to 260 guests and has two Private Dining Rooms, an extensive outdoor terrace with stunning harbour views as well as Hickory Bar which can accommodate 80 guests.
