Troocoo Government are currently supporting a key State Government client with the recruitment of multiple PO5 Project Engineer to join their Natural Disaster Program team based in Nerang, QLD.
These are initial 12-month agency contracts with potential to extend, paying an hourly rate of up to
$****** per hour + super
(dependent on experience).
The Role
As the PO5 Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the recovery and restoration of Queensland's transport network following natural disasters.
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll support the delivery of complex DRFA-funded projects from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and on schedule.
Key responsibilities
Support the Project Manager in delivering Natural Disaster Program (NDP) transport infrastructure projects.
Coordinate pre-construction and construction activities across multiple recovery projects.
Manage project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting through SAP and 3PCM.
Review contractor programs, progress claims, variations and extension of time requests.
Assist with procurement, contract administration and contractor performance management.
Maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and monitor project delivery against milestones.
Prepare and administer DRFA documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including funding submissions and project close-out.
Conduct site inspections and contractor meetings, providing engineering advice and technical support.
Maintain accurate project documentation, drawing registers and compliance records.
Build strong relationships with contractors, stakeholders and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
About you
To be considered a competitive applicant, you would bring the following:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) recognised by Engineers Australia (Washington Accord or equivalent).
Minimum
six years' experience delivering civil or transport infrastructure projects.
Minimum
three years' experience delivering projects under Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Solid understanding of contract administration, project controls and construction delivery.
Experience using SAP, Primavera P6 and/or 3PCM (highly regarded).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Current Class C Driver Licence.
