As Mechanic you will be primarily responsible for carry outservicing, maintenance, and repairs to the City's fleet ofvehicles, plant, and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, andcompliant operations as well as working collaboratively to minimisedowntime and support frontline service delivery across theorganisation.
Committed to work health and safety within a mechanical workshopenvironment, you are able to provide operators with guidance onappropriate daily maintenance procedures for plant and equipment.You are competent in the repair and diagnosis of petrol and dieselengines, transmissions, brakes and exhaust systems.
You have maintained a variety of equipment in your careerincluding small handheld plant. You are also familiar withreporting processes to maintain vehicle service records andensuring equipment is used appropriately.

Self-motivated with the ability to work in a teamenvironment or able to work alone under direction
Knowledge of current mechanical, hydraulic, and electricalsystems
Ability to diagnose faults,



source solutions, and completeaccurate service documentation
Solid commitment to safety, compliance, and environmentalstandards
Ability to work effectively both independently and as partof a team
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Trade qualification – Certificate III in Heavy CommercialVehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
This position offers a gross wage of
$2,014
perweek (incorporate all allowances and penalty rates), and:
12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to afurther 5%
