About the Role
Our team partners closely with clients to provide meaningful financial insights, reporting and advice that help them make informed business decisions and achieve their growth objectives. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you'll go beyond traditional accounting by helping businesses improve their financial processes, reporting capabilities and overall performance. This is a client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering practical outcomes.
About the team
You'll join a collaborative and high‐performing team that works closely with business owners and decision‐makers across a range of industries. The team combines strong technical expertise with a practical, solutions‐focused approach to help clients improve financial visibility and make confident decisions. You'll be supported by experienced Partners and Managers who take a genuine coaching approach and are committed to helping their people develop both technically and professionally.
Key responsibilities
Review bookkeeping, payroll and transactional processing completed by junior team members
Review BAS and IAS preparation
Manage a portfolio of clients and respond to day‐to‐day queries
Prepare management reports and financial analysis for clients
Prepare budgets, forecasts and cashflow models
Conduct regular client meetings to discuss business performance, key trends and improvement opportunities
Analyse financial results and provide commercial insights to support decision‐making
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks
Support software selection, implementation and optimisation projects
Assist clients to streamline and automate finance functions and workflows
Mentor and support junior team members where required
About you
At least 4+ years' accounting experience within an accounting firm or large commercial organisation
Experience managing a portfolio of small to medium‐size clients or stakeholders
Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting capability
Experience preparing and presenting management reports and business insights
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualification (or working towards) is advantageous
Experience with cloud‐based accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, Hubdoc and Dext
Experience with reporting and forecasting tools such as Fathom, Castaway Forecasting or Spotlight Reporting is highly regarded
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
Comfortable learning and adopting new technologies and systems
Ability to review work, follow established processes and support junior team members
