About the Role
Redland recently acquired the licence for the Dori variety of gold kiwifruit and is now launching the Dori program across South West WA. This role provides technical and logistical support across the initiative, with a focus on high-quality data collection, post-harvest maturity sampling, and structured documentation. The role is part of Redland Premium Fruit's technical program and works under the guidance of the Group Agronomic Innovation Manager. This role requires frequent travel to grower sites across South West WA.
Role Responsibilities
Collect and assess fruit samples to monitor maturity, quality and crop development.
Conduct field measurements including bud, flower and fruit counts, along with fruit sizing and yield forecasting activities.
Perform laboratory testing and accurately record data to support production and quality decisions.
Monitor fruit quality through storage and post-harvest, identifying and reporting any emerging quality issues.
Assist with research and development trials by collecting data and maintaining accurate records.
Support growers with field sampling,
crop monitoring and technical extension activities.
Coordinate sample collection, transport and tracking between orchards, growers, laboratories and packhouses.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance while working collaboratively across orchard, laboratory and packhouse teams.
Skills & Experience
Experience in horticulture, agriculture, quality assurance, laboratory work or a similar hands‐on operational role (or a willingness to learn).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
Confident using spreadsheets and digital systems to record and manage data.
Able to work independently, manage priorities and communicate effectively.
Valuable interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with growers and operational teams.
Physically fit for outdoor field work and manual handling tasks.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites.
