The Role
News Breakfast is seeking an experienced Digital Producer to develop innovative and engaging content across its digital platforms.
Southbank, Melbourne Location
Ongoing full-time role
Base salary $84K-$103K

The ideal candidate will be a digital native with an insatiable curiosity for news, pop culture and a hint of the bizarre.
Your job will involve working with some of the industry's brightest and passionate minds to grow and strengthen the profile of one of the ABC's flagship news programs across its digital platforms.
The Job
Identify key stories and content from News Breakfast's daily broadcast that can be repurposed across digital platforms
Edit videos, create graphics and slides for multimedia content on the ABC website and social media channels
Identify and contribute ideas to improve the way the ABC presents and shares video content with its audiences
Contribute to News Breakfast's digital objectives by consistently producing and distributing highly sharable content on social media and other emerging digital platforms
Develop strong working relationships with other ABC teams across TV, radio and online to aid content sharing and breaking news coverage
Maintain an awareness of industry developments, audience and digital trends

You Will Need
A proven track record in a digital producer/content creator role, ideally in a newsroom environment
The ability to identify,
edit and post highly shareable video content across digital platforms including the ABC website, facebook, instagram and tiktok
Accomplished writing and sub-editing skills, including the capacity to generate and produce stories of interest to the program's audience
Proven experience growing and engaging a social media following to expand the reach of a brand, person or company
Demonstrated ability to identify stories that will appeal to digital audiences and reflect modern-Australia
The ability to work in a fast-paced team setting, working both under direction and autonomously as required
