What success looks like
By the end of the ANNPSR program, you will have:
Built a strong foundation in nuclear knowledge and regulation
Developed the ability to apply technical expertise
Gained experience working collaboratively with engineers and regulatory specialists
Demonstrated sound judgement, professionalism, and attention to detail in a highly regulated environment
Developed confidence in engaging with stakeholders and communicating information clearly
Strengthened your capability to work independently while contributing to team outcomes
Positioned yourself for an ongoing role within ANNPSR
About Your Home Team
The Regulations and Licensing Branch is comprised of a diverse range of technical and operational backgrounds working together to promote nuclear safety and compliance of the AUKUS program. As part of the team, you will be working at the cutting edge of regulating the Australian Naval Nuclear Power capability, supported by professionalisation pathways so you can continue to develop, along with unique and varied career opportunities that supports your professional interests.
Our Ideal Candidate
ANNPSR are looking for graduates who have recently completed or are in their final year of a Bachelor's degree under the following disciplines -
Physics / Nuclear Physics or
Engineering (Nuclear, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Systems, Chemical, Environmental)
Your enthusiasm and initiative will enable you to contribute to a team where you will be supported by professionals and technical experts so you can continue to develop.
As an ANNPSR Graduate, you will be required to demonstrate a range of skills, however the specific competencies below are considered critical to success within the ANNPSR team:
Working with people. Understanding others, adapting to others, rewarding others, listening, consulting, supporting, caring.
Applying expertise and technology. Applying, developing and sharing specialist and detailed technical expertise, understanding other organisational disciplines.

Following instructions and procedures. Following procedures and instructions, time keeping, showing commitment, keeping to safety and legal guidelines.
