Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Chemistry and Physics. Willingness to teach Biology.
Demonstrated expertise in Science education, particularly Physics and Chemistry, with the capacity to deliver high-quality teaching that promotes academic excellence and supports students to achieve their personal best.
Demonstrated capacity to use data-informed practices to monitor student progress, identify learning needs and implement targeted strategies that improve student achievement, particularly HSC outcomes in Physics and Chemistry.
Highly developed pedagogical expertise that engages students in meaningful learning and utilises assessment practices to improve student understanding, reflection and achievement.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively to strengthen teaching practice, student outcomes and whole-school improvement.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
