Accountant – CFO Services

We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join our CFO Services team on a full-time basis.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career accountant who enjoys working with numbers, systems and people. You will support the preparation of management reports, KPI dashboards, cash flow forecasts, budgets and advisory work while developing your technical and professional skills.
You will work closely with senior accountants, managers, directors and our bookkeeping team, gaining practical exposure to management accounting, client reporting and business advisory work.
About the role
In this role, you will help prepare accurate and useful reporting for clients. Your work will support business owners and managers to better understand their financial performance, cash flow and key business drivers.
Your duties will include:
Preparing monthly management reports and KPI dashboards
Assisting with cash flow forecasts and budgets
Preparing reconciliations, schedules and supporting workpapers
Checking reports and source data for accuracy and completeness
Helping identify routine variances or issues and raising them with senior staff
Communicating with clients on routine reporting queries
Supporting senior team members with advisory projects and client deliverables
Maintaining data integrity across client systems and reporting files
Using Excel and reporting tools to produce accurate work
Following agreed workflows, workpaper standards and internal processes
Progressing your CA/CPA studies and applying your learning to real client work
About you
You will be a good fit for this role if you are organised, curious and keen to keep learning.
You do not need to have all the answers, but you do need to be willing to ask questions, follow processes and take care with your work.
We are looking for someone with:
An Accounting or Commerce degree
CA/CPA enrolment, or willingness to enrol
A genuine interest in management accounting, advisory services and client-focused reporting
Strong attention to detail
Explicit written and verbal communication skills
A professional, respectful and client-focused approach
Strong IT and systems skills
A willingness to learn, seek feedback and improve
Good organisation skills and accountability
A team-focused attitude
