The Role
We're looking for a Senior Estimator / Tender Manager to lead the preparation of our bids and tenders; owning take-offs, pricing, methodology, and bid strategy across a diverse pipeline of civil construction projects. Based on the Sunshine Coast and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you'll price work accurately and competitively, coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing, assess risk and qualifications, and mentor the estimating team.
Strong estimating underpins everything we build, and this role sets the standard for bid quality. It's a genuinely influential commercial position for someone who wants real ownership of the work that wins the work; and who wants to help drive an ambitious, growing business toward Tier 1 capability.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead take-offs and pricing for tenders across civil construction projects
• Develop methodology and programme inputs in partnership with the delivery team
• Price labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor packages accurately and competitively
• Contribute to bid / no-bid decisions and overall pricing strategy
• Assess risk, opportunity, qualifications, and assumptions on each tender
• Request, assess, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Mentor and review the work of Estimators, developing the capability of the team
• Maintain estimating standards,



templates, and pricing data
What We're Looking For
• Senior estimating experience in civil construction, with a strong track record on competitive tenders
• Degree or diploma in civil construction or quantity surveying - or extensive estimating experience
• Proficiency with estimating software - RIB Candy (preferred), Expert Estimation, B2W, or CostX
• Strong measurement, methodology, and commercial judgement
• Proven ability to assess risk, chance, and qualifications across tenders
• Leadership and mentoring capability to develop an estimating team
• White Card (Construction Induction) and a current driver's licence
• Integrity, accountability, and a genuinely collaborative approach
