We are seeking a
Workshop Hand
to join our team at Horse float and trailer repairs in Strathalbyn, SA ****. This is a
casual position
offering flexibility and variety in a hands-on working environment. You will be working within our workshop, supporting the repair and maintenance of horse floats and trailers. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive quality service and that our workshop runs efficiently. This is an on-site position based in Strathalbyn.
What you'll be doing
Assisting experienced technicians with the repair and maintenance of horse floats and trailers
Preparing work areas and gathering required tools and materials for repair tasks
Performing general workshop duties including cleaning, organisation and stock management
Supporting the assembly and disassembly of components under supervision
Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop environment in accordance with health and safety standards
Learning workshop procedures and best practices to develop your skills and knowledge
Operating basic workshop equipment and machinery as directed and trained
Supporting the completion of repair jobs to meet customer deadlines
What we're looking for
A willingness to learn and develop practical skills in a workshop environment
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
Reliable and punctual approach to work with a flexible attitude suited to casual hours




Good communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors and experienced team members
A genuine interest in vehicle repair and maintenance, particularly in the horse float and trailer industry
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
A valid driver's licence is advantageous
Any relevant experience in a workshop or similar practical environment is beneficial but not essential
