Working closely with regional trades, contractors and assessors, you'll remotely estimate and supervise residential insurance repair works from the office. You'll coordinate multiple claims, prepare accurate repair estimates and scopes of work, and ensure projects progress efficiently while meeting client expectations, insurer requirements, KPIs and agreed timeframes. Success in this role requires strong communication, sound building knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to build productive relationships in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Specialist Claims Estimator / Supervisor
to join our office-based team, remotely estimating and coordinating residential insurance repairs with regional trades and contractors.
This role offers hybrid work for Adelaide and Melbourne employees, with fully remote options available elsewhere following initial training in Adelaide.
About the role
The
Specialist Claims Team
is responsible for office-based estimating and supervision of insurance building claims, with a primary focus on regional areas. This team plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely assessments by working closely with regional trades and assessors to produce high-quality reports and quotations.
In addition to claim management, the team is deeply involved in data capture and analysis, ensuring that costing sheets and reporting templates remain current and compliant with client requirements. This analytical approach supports continuous improvement and maintains the integrity of our estimating processes.




Key criteria
You'll ideally have:
A trade background or sound knowledge of residential building and construction.
Experience working collaboratively with both office-based teams and trades or contractors.
Experience in the insurance repair industry (highly regarded but not essential).
You'll also demonstrate:
The ability to interpret residential building repairs and prepare accurate estimates remotely.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple claims while meeting KPIs and client timeframes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional emails, reports and correspondence.
A customer-focused approach, with confidence liaising with homeowners, trades, insurers and other stakeholders.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Confidence using Microsoft Office, web-based systems, iPhones, iPads, SharePoint and other digital technologies.
A sound understanding of the National Construction Code (Building Code of Australia) and safe work practices.
