About Us
Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (SHSAC) provides culturally appropriate primary healthcare services to nine remote Aboriginal communities in the Katherine region. About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable
Asset Officer
to join our team in Katherine and support the delivery of services across our communities. In this hands-on role, you will be an important part of our operations support unit, coordinating logistics, transport, and depot administration. Your work will help ensure our fleet, property, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and ready to support essential services for people living in remote communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of stores, medical supplies, and equipment.
Oversee depot operations, ensuring vehicle traffic and loading/unloading activities run smoothly.
Deliver goods to remote communities and transport employees, patients, and Directors as required.
Maintain registers for vehicles, equipment, and dispatch activities.
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance, including basic vehicle upkeep and handyman tasks.
Monitor cold chain requirements for vaccines and medical consumables.
Support general administrative tasks, including inventory management and equipment procurement.
Participate in on-call after-hours roster and occasional travel to communities.
Provide orientation, training, and support to team members.
What You'll Bring
NT Driver's Licence (Unrestricted)
Must hold a valid Class C (Car) NT Driver's Licence
Forklift Licence (or ability to obtain)
Current First Aid Certificate
National Police Clearance and OCHRE Card (or willingness to obtain)
Required clearances must be obtained within 90 days of employment commencement
Basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
Proven experience in warehousing, manual handling, and safe work practices
Minimum 1-2 years of warehousing experience required
Strong organisation and multitasking ability
High attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
Australian work authorisation required at time of application
Desirable
Experience in remote logistics or working with Aboriginal communities
Familiarity with vehicle and building infrastructure maintenance
