We are expanding our team to meet growing demand and are looking for focused, reliable Depot Staff who take pride in precision, teamwork, and hitting daily service targets.
The Role
At APD, we hold ourselves accountable for every single delivery, and our depot team has this as the main driver of their day.
The main focus of this role is ensuring our customer's freight is processed accurately so that it's delivered on time, every time.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
The Daily Sort: Efficiently and accurately sorting a high volume of freight into specific regional and metro runs.
Loading & Unloading: Safely operating in the yard to load and unload trucks, ensuring freight integrity is maintained.
Data & Logistics: Assisting with freight data entry to keep our tracking systems accurate.
Yard Operations: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised depot.
The Shift and Hours
Monday to Friday.
Rotating Saturday morning overtime shifts.
Perfect for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.
Who We Are Looking For
We value experience, but we value attitude and reliability even more.
You will be a great fit if you have:
Prior experience in transport, or warehousing (highly regarded).
A strong work ethic. You understand that hitting our daily service goals keeps our customer's freight moving.
The ability to maintain focus, speed, and accuracy under pressure.
A proven track record as a team player who can problem-solve on the fly.
A current Forklift Licence (preferred, but not essential).
Casual Roles Also Available
APD are also looking to fill Casual Freight Handler roles, working Monday to Friday afternoons. That job is also advertised on Seek.
