POSITION OUTLINE
You will be managing the operation of our busy organic and natural food store's deli kitchen. The role involves food preparation, cooking and baking, as well as cleaning and dishwashing duties.
The role is 3-5 days per week ****** hours), Monday-Friday. We offer a competitive wage and staff discount. The position is casual for the first 12 months, with opportunity to become full-time after this.

Food preparation, cooking and baking, as well as cleaning and dishwashing duties
Upkeep of deli presentation and cleanliness plus such other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Creation and adaptation of recipes for our deli, gluten free and vegan slices. Winter soups and summer salads.
Flexibility and creativity to use products that our fresh produce team has an abundance of. Strong waste reduction and management.
Catering, including online orders and our Christmas and seasonal products.
ABOUT YOU
You have a passion for cooking/baking, and are handy and creative in the kitchen.



Ideally you have experience with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cooking and an understanding of wholefoods and organics.
Positive understanding of food safety and handling food, including hygienic and careful handling of product with an attention to detail and presentation.
Our ideal candidate has a friendly, helpful personality, as well as an environmental awareness and interest in waste reduction.
Experienced in providing great customer service, with excellent communication skills in person, over the telephone and by email.
Must be able to work unsupervised while following instructions and complying with Eumarrah policies and procedures. A safety focus and knowledge of WH&S; procedures are important.
Excellent, courteous and prompt contact with staff, customers, suppliers and any other stakeholders at all times.
Mature attitude and approach, strong work ethic and comfortable in a workplace with a cross-section of hard-working staff.
Great team player, motivated and keeps on task, look out for others, share tasks, be efficient, accurate and organised.
Observant: ensure product identification, quality and quantity are correct.
Punctual, reliable, friendly, trustworthy, ethical, respectful and respectable.
Looking for 12+ months consistent employment, preferably much longer.
