About the role
As a Housing Support Officer at Mareeba Community Housing Company Ltd, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support services to individuals and families to sustain their tenancy. This full-time position is based in Atherton and will require travel to outer regions as part of our SHS team.
What you'll be doing
Provide early intervention services to individuals and families to maintain tenancies and avoid entering homelessness
Conduct assessments and develop individualised support plans with clients
Provide practical support to help clients develop financial and independent living skills
Liaise with relevant government agencies, community organisations and stakeholders to coordinate support and referral services
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our SHS services
What we're looking for
Experience in the community services, housing and homelessness sector/ real estate industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and case management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in using software and client management systems
