Maverick Bio is seeking a reliable and motivated Production 2IC to support our Collections and Processing operations. This role is ideal for someone with production or manufacturing experience who is ready to step up into a team leadership position while continuing to contribute on the floor actively.

This is a practical leadership role — not an office job. You will work alongside the production team each day, helping to coordinate workflow, support operators, and keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You Will Do
Support and coordinate day-to-day production activities
Lead by example, working alongside operators to achieve production targets
Help manage workflow, team performance, and daily priorities
Ensure production tasks are completed safely and correctly
Assist with training and supporting new team members
Monitor product quality and production output
Complete production records and system entries accurately
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
What We Are Looking For
Essential
Comfortable working within a slaughterhouse environment
Able to work around animal processing operations, associated sights, sounds, and odours
Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
Ability to lead by example and support a team
Reliable, punctual, and organised
Available to work a minimum of 4 days per week
Able to work early morning starts
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Commitment to workplace safety
Physically fit for manual handling, standing, and repetitive tasks

Experience in training or mentoring staff
Experience in regulated manufacturing or food production environments

This role requires 5:00 am starts.
You will be working within a livestock processing/slaughterhouse environment.
You must be available for a minimum of 4 days per week.
