Medical Receptionist
to join our dedicated team on a
Permanent Part-Time
basis.
We are looking for someone seeking long-term stability who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care. Working alongside the GPs, nurses, and administrative colleagues, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, supportive, and efficient environment for our practice and local community.
Working Hours & Availability
Role Type:
Permanent Part-Time.
Rostered Days:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Hours:
Shifts range between 8:15am – 6:30pm (approx.
30
hours per week).
Note: This role includes opening and closing duties.
Flexibility:
Opportunities for additional hours to cover team leave where available.
Key Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for the surgery, your day-to-day will involve:
Front Desk:
Meeting and greeting patients with a friendly, professional demeanour.
Communication:
Managing incoming calls, triaging enquiries, and effectively liaising with doctors and nurses.
Administration:
Co-ordinating appointments,



processing patient accounts, and receipting payments.
Clinical Support:
Ensuring consult rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies and maintaining a tidy, welcoming waiting area.
Skills & Experience
Experience:
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferred.
Software:
Proficiency with
Best Practice
is highly desirable.
Attributes:
Strong initiative, the ability to multitask, and high attention to detail.
Reliability:
You must be punctual, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a cooperative team.
