We are hiring experienced Welders/Boilermakers to join our fabrication team on an initial 6-month contract, with possibility of extending to permanent employment.

The role
We are seeking a skilled and quality-focused Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Malaga, Western Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate and productive fabrication, assembly and welding of steel components in accordance with fabrication drawings, technical specifications and established quality procedures.
You will play a key role in the manufacture of steel infrastructure, contributing to critical projects that support Australia's energy network. This position offers the opportunity to work within a professional fabrication environment where quality, safety and teamwork are highly valued.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Interpret and work from fabrication drawings, technical specifications, and welding procedures.
Fabricate, assemble, and weld steel components used in steel infrastructure.
Perform high-quality MIG, and arc welding on a variety of metals and materials.
Assemble and fit steel components to required dimensions and quality standards.
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, compliance, and structural integrity.
Safely operate and maintain welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
Handle materials and equipment efficiently while adhering to workplace safety requirements.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Follow all Quality, WHS,



and company procedures and contribute positively to the production team.
Undertake other fabrication and workshop duties as required.
What we're looking for
Essentials
A solid understanding of fabrication processes and welding techniques.
Proven experience in MIG welding, with the ability to apply welding procedures accurately and consistently to achieve high-quality workmanship.
Strong fabrication and boiler making skills, with experience in steel assembly.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
A commitment to following company procedures, management systems, and quality standards.
A strong focus on workplace health and safety, consistently applying safe work practices while delivering quality outcomes.
Experience operating factory overhead cranes safely and responsibly.
Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications
Essential
Suitable trade certificate – Welding and/or heavy fabrication
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the fabrication industry.
Desirable
Licence to perform high risk work - Dogging
