About the role and where you'll be working:
We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Worker to join our team at Joseph Cooke House. This is a
casual
position, working various shifts.
Joseph Cooke House can comfortably cater for up to 57 residents and is located in Shelley. It is centrally located near a variety of amenities including a post office, chemist, bowls club and community Centre.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Carefully read & follow care plans
Assist with personal care
Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility)
Treat our residents & their family with respect
Show compassion & exercise patience
About You
You are someone who connects with the values of Southern Cross Care WA and understands the meaningful impact this role has on the lives of older people. You're confident working independently and find fulfilment in spending time with elderly residents, supporting them with dignity and kindness.
To be considered for this role you'll need:
A Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Care
Initiative & the ability to effectively prioritise & multitask
Great communication skills (spoken & written)
Attention to detail for good record keeping
