Position Requirements
Training Program Details:
The purpose of the program is to engage candidates wanting to start or progress their career in the transport sector into a Truck Driving apprenticeship type program.
Program official start date – Monday 13 July to Friday 24 July ****, looking to start the candidates on Friday 10th July.
This program will require commitment from participants to attend the 10-day training sessions.
The initial training provided will include 5 core units of accredited RTO training that cross over to the Certificate III in Driving:
TLIB**** – Carry out vehicle inspection
TLID**** – Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
TLIF**** – Follow work health and safety procedures
TLIF**** – Apply fatigue management strategies
TLIF**** – Ensure the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility)
Additional training may include TLIC**** – Operate commercial vehicle which will allow candidates to sit the Heavy Rigid Truck Licence test.




Training will also include all facets of Depot Dock work and HR driving (once licence obtained)
Potential ongoing employment post obtaining truck licence for the right candidates as well
The Ideal Candidate will:
Be able to obtain a HR class licence (18 years+)
Possess C class or Green P's Driver Licence
Possess a Forklift Licence (or be willing to obtain one)
Have a genuine interest in the Transport sector with the outlook of upgrading and furthering skill set up to a B Double (MC Licence) Driver
Valuable communication skills and present well
