School based position working from Oakwood in Frankston, with adaptable working conditions available

Job Description
Join our dynamic team at headspace as a Mental Health Clinician dedicated to supporting young people facing mental health and psychosocial challenges.
About you
We are looking for dedicated and experienced applicants with a passion for working with adolescents and young adults with varied mental health presentations and needs, including anxiety and depression.
In this role, you will assess client needs using comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations, including the HEADSS tool and Mental State Examination. You'll deliver evidence-based interventions, provide care coordination, and engage with families in treatment planning. Active participation in supervision and clinical governance is essential, along with maintaining accurate clinical documentation and data compliance.
Key deliverables
Establish young person's needs (through discussion of the presenting issues/s) at referral and determine the client's suitability for headspace services
Undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments utilising the HEADSS assessment tool,



Mental State Examination and risk assessments
Deliver both short-to-medium term length evidence-based interventions to young people presenting with a range of mental health psychosocial issues
Provide care coordination support which may include referrals to other agencies, liaison with care team members, attending student support group meetings and/or care team meetings
Work within the EACH and headspace Clinical Governance framework including relevant policies and procedures of headspace Dandenong.

Qualifications
Hold a minimum Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (essential) plus a post graduate qualification in a related field (highly desirable)
AHPRA registered, ACA, PACFA, AASW or eligible membership with the association of your field
Completion of a Criminal History Check and Employee Working With Children Check prior to commencement of employment
Current Drivers Licence
