Job Description
The Trustee for Kantahrao Family Trust The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards and assisting with the efficient operation of the kitchen. Benefits Full-time permanent position.

Task & responsibilities Plan, prepare, cook and present a wide range of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and quality standards. Develop menus and prepare daily and seasonal specials in consultation with management. Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation.
Estimate food and labour costs and assist with ordering and stock control to minimise waste. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supplies of food ingredients and kitchen consumables. Supervise, train and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, hygiene standards and workplace health and safety requirements. Inspect food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency, quality and portion control. Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.




Assist in rostering kitchen staff and maintaining efficient workflow during busy service periods. Qualification & experience Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent qualification. Minimum of one year relevant full-time post-qualification experience as a Chef (or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience where applicable).
Sound knowledge of commercial food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
Excellent organisational, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
