We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Laboratory Technician
to join our
SANECTOR
team at
Adelaide (Ottoway) & Barossa (Nuriootpa).
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a leading wine bottling business, supporting the quality and integrity of our products from bulk wine through to bottling.
Working as part of a collaborative and experienced team, you will play a key role in ensuring laboratory operations run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting wine analysis,
authorisation and reporting
ensuring wines are prepared and released for bottling without disrupting production schedules.
Performing laboratory quality assurance activities, including calibration, standardisation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Completing bulk wine additions, adjustments and cellar activities, including wine transfers as required.
Monitoring and testing in accordance with HACCP requirements and quality standards.
Maintaining accurate laboratory records and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Entering laboratory data into ERP and bulk wine management systems with a high level of accuracy.
Ensuring laboratory operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures and food safety requirements.
Working closely with Production, Winemaking and Cellar teams to support productive operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience working in a winery laboratory or a similar laboratory environment
Experience working within a NATA-accredited laboratory, or a strong understanding of NATA quality systems and compliance requirements
Knowledge of wine analysis, including Alcohol, Free SO2, Total SO2 and Dissolved Gases
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry experience
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team
A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements and provide leave coverage when required
Cellar hand experience will be highly regarded
