About The Role
As an Inclusion Support Additional Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting Educators to make a difference in a child's early education journey. Each day, you'll engage with energetic children as they learn and grow through play in the kindergarten environment, including children with disabilities and higher support needs.
We currently have multiple part time positions based across Geelong/Barwon, working shifts Monday-Friday (school term time only) to commence immediately.
Zones with current vacancies/lines are listed below:
Zone 1
Whittington - Tues, Wed & Thurs: 9.00am-2.00pm (15 hours per week)
Geelong West - Mon:1.30pm-4.30pm Tues:9.30am-*****pm (6 hours per week)
Geelong West - Mon & Wed: 9.00AM-3.30PM (12 hours per week)
East Geelong- Tues:9.00am-*****pm Thurs:9.30am-4.00pm (9 hours per week)
Zone 2
Mount Duneed - Mon & Tues: 9.30am-4.00pm (12 hours per week)
Zone 5
Corio- Thurs & Fri *****am-1:45pm (10 hours per week)
Lara - Tues & Wed *****am-1:45pm (7.5 hours per week)
Lara - Wed & Fri *****am-3.00pm (10 hours per week)
Lara - Wed & Thurs *****am-2.00pm (8 hours per week)
Lovely Banks - Mon & Wed 9.00am-3.30pm (12 hours per week)
Bell Post Hill - Days and shifts still being determined (9 hours per week)
Duties will include
Support children by implementing behaviour management plans and individual strategies tailored to their needs.
Work collaboratively with the education team, modelling a consistent and positive approach.
Show initiative to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment for all children.
Access funded training and professional development opportunities to build your skills in inclusive education.
What you will bring to the role
Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting children of all abilities.
Passion for connecting with young children, keeping them engaged in play-based learning, and celebrating their growth and development.
Working with Children Check, police check & completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module and National Child Safety Training (or willingness to obtain).
Relevant qualification - not required, but it will attract a higher hourly rate.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
