About the role
In the Vacation Student – Mining Engineer role,you'llgain hands-on experience supporting mine planning and operational activities across our mining operations.
Working alongside experienced engineers,you'llcontribute to projects that help optimise production, improveefficiencyand support secure mining practices.
Some of your work may include:




Assistwith short and medium-term mine planning activitiesSupport drill and blast design and analysisContribute to mine scheduling and production reportingAssistwith operational improvement projectsAnalyse mining data andidentifyopportunities for optimisationSupport ventilation,haulageand mining studiesWork closely with engineering and operational teams to support protected and productive mining activities

Cowal Gold Operations, NSW
Located near West Wyalong in Central New South Wales, Cowal is one of Australia's largest open pit gold mines, offering students exposure to a large-scale mining operation within a supportive regional community.
Roster:5:2/4:3
Included:Subsidised accommodation, flights at the commencement and conclusion of the program, plus return travel home during the festive period.
About you

You'll be:
Studying Mining Engineering or a related disciplineDemonstrating an interest in mining operations and mine planningA strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skillsA confident communicator and team playerWilling to live and work in a regional mining environmentHold a valid manual driver's licence
