The Account Manager is responsible for retaining and growing government, insurance and/or commercial business and by developing our customer relationships within a geographical area.
This is a hands-on role operating in a fast-paced setting where customer responsiveness is critical.
Responsibilities include:Take complete ownership and provide exceptional customer service to strategically important and key customers within the Australian Government, commercial and/or motor insurance replacement segment.Provide hands-on day-to-day customer service,



logistical and operational support to customersAssist with logistics, operational, reporting and technology projects from end to end, including group bookings or large-scale event projectsWork closely and collaboratively with Hertz internal departments and franchisees to ensure all customer key performance indicators are metMaintain and seek to improve the company ́s competitive position and profitability through business growth and development in the assigned sales territory.Work collaboratively with the Regional Sales Managers to identify strategic initiatives to help differentiate Hertz and its brands within the segment.Assist with customer tenders and negotiations, with the support of the Regional Sales ManagersPlan and implement an annual Sales Plan, in line with Hertz ́ overall strategy and business planBusiness development to seek new accounts in the allocated territory as well as look for growth opportunities within our existing accountsAbout You?
We are not looking for a traditional 'Sales' person.
While this is a Sales-focused position, it has a strong operational and customer service component.
The role requires someone who enjoys being in the detail, resolving customer queries, managing invoicing and administrative queries, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders to keep customers satisfied.
This is a busy, high-touch role where no two days are the same.
To be successful in this position, you will possess:Ideally minimum 1 year experience in Field Sales managing a complex multi-layered product/service, experience working with government, motor insurance providers, vehicle leasing, roadside assistance, accident management companies, or in the corporate travel industryHighly organised, resilient and customer focussedExceptional eye for detail to analyse and tenacity to follow through on commitmentsEnjoys working in a fast-paced environment,



and getting their hands dirty working with a complex product/service and managing logistical projects from end to endStrategic, mature mind-set and looking for long term stability in your roleSelf-confidence to present and liaise with all levels of internal and customer management, including senior executives as a regular part of the roleExcellence in professional communication and presentation skillsExpert at building strong relationshipsAt Hertz we pledge to provide a safe and supportive work environment for everyone.
