About the Opportunity
The Workplace Health & Safety Coordinator supports Help Enterprises to create and maintain safe, healthy and supportive work environments across a diverse range of operational settings, including manufacturing and metal fabrication, supply chain and warehousing operations, nursery and horticultural environments, hospitality services, community-based programs, and corporate office workplaces.
The role works collaboratively with leaders, employees, participants, customers,
students, contractors and visitors to ensure secure work practices are embedded across all areas of the organisation.
The WH&S; Coordinator provides practical WHS guidance, supports risk management, promotes a proactive safety culture and assists with compliance to relevant WHS legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
identifying hazards, assessing risks and supporting effective controls
supporting incident response, investigation, corrective actions and lessons learnt
coordinating WHS training, consultation and safety communication
maintaining WHS records, reporting and audit-ready evidence
contributing to physical, psychological and wellbeing initiatives across Help
This is a Full-Time position based at Eagle Farm.
About You
You will have:
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety and/or demonstrated experience in a similar WHS role
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
Experience supporting WHS systems, hazard reporting, inspections, risk assessments, incident management and corrective action tracking.
Demonstrated ability to work with managers, workers and stakeholders to improve safe work practices and risk controls.
Experience preparing reports, maintaining registers, developing procedures or guidance materials, and supporting audit-ready documentation.
Project coordination and implementation experience, including following up actions and meeting agreed timeframes.
Sound understanding of WHS legislation, risk management principles, consultation requirements and safe work systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain WHS requirements in practical, plain language.
