We're looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our Finance team.
This is a broad, hands on role that combines financial accounting with commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and operational business partnering.
You'll work closely with our venue and leadership teams, helping turn financial data into practical insights that support better business decisions as we continue to grow.If you enjoy working across the numbers and the business, thrive in a fast paced environment, and love finding smarter ways of working, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoPartner with Operations to support venue budgeting, forecasting and financial performanceLead monthly venue P&L; reviews, providing insights into revenue, labour and cost performanceDeliver accurate month end reporting, reconciliations, journals and financial controlsManage lease accounting (AASB 16), fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport board, management and investor reporting with meaningful financial analysisMaintain relationships with banking partners, payment providers, landlords and insurance brokersCoordinate insurance renewals, claims and bank guarantee administrationSupport annual budgeting,



forecasting and scenario modelling across the venue networkIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and automation, including leveraging AI where appropriateContribute to audit preparation, sustainability reporting and continuous improvement projects across the finance functionWhat we're looking for:CA or CPA qualified (or in the final stages of completing your qualification)Experience in financial or management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysisStrong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and month-end reportingExperience with lease accounting (AASB 16) and multi-entity reporting environmentsRetail, hospitality or other multi-site industry experience is highly regardedStrong Excel skills, with experience using cloud accounting or ERP systems such as Xero or Microsoft Business CentralCurious about technology and AI, with an interest in improving finance processes through automationExcellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skillsWhy Yo-Chi?
