Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid)Job DescriptionThis is a Test Engineer role, where you will be part of our ****+ robust team of testing experts across the country and have the opportunity to travel around Australia on short assignments.
Ideally you will already be in Australia with full working rights and have local experience with a short notice period.As a Test Engineer we expect you to possess a high level of knowledge and exposure across various software development lifecycle models and have the ability to accelerate quality with the application of appropriate tools and approaches.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as you will be frequently guiding people on testing related topics, and reporting on all elements of the test process and phases.You will be required to demonstrate a breadth of experience working in a testing / quality engineering role, including the day-to-day activities of this job - test analysis and improvement, design and review, execution, defect management, reporting, leading small teams, contributing to planning and estimation,
etc.ResponsibilitiesReview requirements for testabilityContribute to test plans and other high level documentation where requiredCollaborate with clients for user and systems requirements when documentation is insufficientIdentify test conditions/ test objectives and derive test cases using advanced test techniquesIdentify and apply tools to assist with the acceleration of qualityCreate comprehensive test assets in the appropriate tools relevant to test conditionsUtilise appropriate tools to execute test cases and report resultsRaise, track and close defectsSet up a defect lifecycle process when requiredReport results as required to managers across the businessCapable of working with Agile methodologies, collaborating with and across teams as requiredQualificationsEssential Skills and Experience:Experienced in traditional, iterative or Agile development practicesAbility to work collaboratively with developers and other project membersPossess in-depth experience as a senior test engineer in all areas of the SDLCOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsStrong test experience in all areas of the SDLC, including system, SIT or UATCollaborating with developers, business analysts and users to understand testing needs and identify automation opportunitiesContribute to the continuous improvement of test quality by undertaking reviews and recommending improvementsPossess a solid understanding of modern application deployment methodologies and cloud infrastructureCan effectively adapt to workload and issues to maintain momentumJob InfoJob Identification 783Posting Date 07/29/2026, 03:21 AMLocations Level 6, 550 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC, ****, AU (Hybrid)
