Influence the future.Ocean Software is hiring a Head of Finance to lead our finance function and provide the financial discipline, commercial insight, and strategic support needed to help scale a growing global software business supporting defence and aviation organisations worldwide.This is a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) role, reporting directly to the CEO and operating as the organisation's senior finance leader.
The role has accountability for financial strategy, governance, performance, commercial decision support, and scalable financial operations across the business.What you'll own:Ocean's finance strategy, operating model and governance frameworkExecutive and Board-level financial reporting, insights and recommendationsFinancial performance and commercial outcomes across the businessStrategic investment evaluation, business planning and organisational growth initiativesWhat we're looking for:Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance leadership roleStrong technical finance capability across reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, and controlsExperience improving financial processes, reporting quality, and operational discipline in a growing organisationCommercially minded, with the ability to translate numbers into clear insights, recommendations, and actionsComfortable operating in a hands-on role where you can both think strategically and execute operationallyWhy this role:Operate at SLT level with direct influence on company strategy and business performancePartner directly with the CEO and Executive Team on growth,
